Policy Webinar #3

The third ATS STEM webinar for policy makers was held on Thursday 28 April 2022 at 10am CET in Zoom. It was led by the Dissemination and exploitation Work Package (WP6) headed by the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. The webinar was the third in a series of planned webinars aimed specifically at national policy makers and stakeholders, allowing room for expert debate/discussion. The focus this time was on sharing practices with other STEM projects. Speakers came from Sweden, Belgium, Cyprus and Turkey.

The webinar was a great opportunity to get an insight into other STEM projects, to share practises, frameworks and results. 

The Introductory address was made by Dr Eamon Costello, Dublin City University, Ireland, followed by an address from Tobias Hammarberg, Head of board of Education and Vice Mayor in Haninge Municipality, Sweden. Dr Borut Čampelj moderated the webinar. Other presenters were:

• Mark Willems from GO! Flanders, Belgium, presented LeeRM!X, a project within
• Dr Gregory Makrides, professor of STEAME Education, Cyprus, presented STEAME project
• Sumeyye Hatice Eral, Ministry of National Education, Turkey, presented Edusimsteam project
• Dr Nikoletta Xenofontos, Department of Education, University of Cyprus, presented STE(A)M IT project

The presentations were followed by discussion in groups.
