About
The National Education Institute (NEI) is a national authority which performs research and development tasks by linking theory and practice to formulate various conceptual solutions in the field of education.
The NEI covers all levels of pre-university education, including about 30.000 teachers on a national level. It is organized in nine regional units and employs 152 advisors who cover all subjects from preschool to primary and secondary education. Their main task is curriculum development and implementation of innovative solutions into practice.

Goals
NEI will provide key inputs into the design of the teacher professional development in the project (WP3). It will also deliver national workshops to Slovenian teachers and play a key role in the design and development of the evaluation methodology and tools in WP5. NEI actively supports the development of the Pilot Implementation Plan in WP4 and will roll out the national pilot in Slovenia in close collaboration with the Slovenian Ministry for Education, Science and Sport.
NEI will also actively disseminate the project findings at national and European level.
